Growing flax is both easy and rewarding.  3-4’ tall plants with abundant blue flowers are beautiful. The plants are pretty drought tolerant too. Once the seed heads are dried down in late summer, it is easy to rub them into a container and blow away the chaff with a blowdryer. Then enjoy the seeds in bread, muffins, etc. or leave for birds who will snack on them all fall.
