We used to avoid planting tomatoes outside given the losses due to blight. In 2012 we were given a small packet of seed from Harold Steves at the BC Seeds Gathering. This heirloom tomato had been in his family for years. They are determinate, prolific, and very early, maturing before blight is a problem. Ranging in size from 4 to 7cm, the early fruits are quite meaty with very few seeds, and later tomatoes are more juicy and seedy.
