Pastinaca sativa
Smooth skinned, white parsnips with tapered roots. Direct sow from 2-3 weeks before last frost, sow 6mm-12mm deep, seeds germinate in 14-21 days, thin to 8-10cm. Full sun, plenty of water. Best eaten after the first hard frost for added sweetness. Excellent ground keeper. 100 days to maturity.
