Cucumis melo

Sweet, cantaloupe-type melon developed at Hope Farm Organics in Prince George. The fruits develop to 2-3 lbs and slips off the vine when ripe. Best grown under cover. 60 days to maturity.

Note: These seeds passed their germination test with 80%, which is the minimum germination rate according to the CFIA. As such we are over-packing the seed envelopes. Instead of 20 seeds, you'll receive 30, 220 instead of 200, and 825 instead of 750.

Growing instructions

Start indoors 4-6 weeks after last frost. Germination in 5-10 days. Transplant when seedlings are 5 weeks old. Sow seeds 1cm deep, 60-90cm apart in row and 1.5-2m apart. Prefers warm, well drained soil with an ideal pH of 6.0-6.8.
