Fresh green chives with a sweet onion flavour. Upright leaves form clusters that are easy to harvest from and erupt in beautiful and edible purple flowers. Perennial. They do well in moist conditions and can handle partial shade. An established plant can handle multiple harvests starting in early spring, switch to harvesting flowers in summer and use as beautiful garnishes, salad additions, or vinegar flavouring. Both leaves and flowers can be dried.
