BC Eco Seed Co-op Fundraiser Program Overview

The BC Eco Seed Co-op
The BC Eco Seed Co-op is the only province-wide seed growers co-operative providing 100% BC-grown vegetable, herb, flower, and grain seed to gardeners and farmers! Our mission is to increase the quantity and improve the quality of ecological and organic seed grown in BC, and we are delighted to partner with BC organizations who believe in our mission and want to support BC seed growers.
Why Offer Our Seeds?
Quality - Our seeds meet or exceed Canadian germination standards and are grown in BC by BC farmers who adhere to quality assurance protocols and know and love each of the varieties they grow. Our seeds are:
- Ecologically Grown - All seeds are ecologically grown, most are certified organic. Those that are uncertified are grown following the Canadian Organic Standards.
- Regionally Selected - Varieties are selected and cultivated to flourish in our climate, soil conditions, and ecosystems.
- Open Pollinated- If properly isolated from other varieties in the same species, customers can save their own seed that will come true year after year.
- Not genetically modified or engineered - Ever!
Selection - Each year we offer an increasing number of varieties - each one selected for performance, flavor, and other qualities of interest. Currently we have over 400 varieties of seeds available!
Together, we're doing good - Having the BC Eco Seed Co-op partner with your organization shares the story of our truly unique brand. You and your customers are not only supporting one small business but the businesses of all our farmers and agricultural practices that result in healthier soil, water, and communities. You are helping to grow sustainable food systems and our local seed economy - BC grown seed for BC growers!
Here’s How it Works
- We provide you with a free shipping code that you share with your organization. Members submit their orders during a set period of time directly through our website www.bcecoseedcoop.com at regular prices (currently $5.95/packet).
- Members use the free shipping code with their order.
- We get all the orders ready and send them as one big order to the organization contact person so there is only one shipment to coordinate. You would then distribute orders to your members. We will keep the orders all separate and named when packing so they are easy to differentiate.
- We will cover the shipping charges and the order will also come with a discount code for future orders in 2026.
- We will send you a payment of $1.50 for each packet purchased once the order has been fulfilled and your organization has sent us an invoice for the payment.
For example:
Your members collectively order 100 packets of seeds using the free shipping code, paying full price for the seeds, for a total of $595. At the end of the fundraiser period, we will ship all of the seeds to one person at your organization. That person will distribute the seeds, which are all marked with the names of the customers for easy sorting.
Once the seeds have been distributed, you send us an invoice for $1.50 per packet ($150 in this case), and an email address for e-transfer. We send you money!
