Large at least 6’ tall tropical looking corn with beautiful variegated green, white and burgundy leaves adds a dramatic look at the back of your mixed flower beds or as the centerpiece of a large urn. Plant as a cluster of at least 3 plants for the best display. Looks lovely for a long season and will produce ornamental cobs of almost black corn in fall for your harvest table display!

Growing instructions

Direct sow outdoors in late spring when the soil is warmer. Plant 2-5cm deep, 7.5cm apart and 60-90cm apart in row. Germination in 7-10 days. Add manure or compost to soil as corn is a heavy feeder. Prefers a soil pH of 5.8-6.8. Plant in dense blocks rather than single rows for better wind pollination.
