Cucumis sativus

Incredibly productive vines rarely exceed 3-feet in length which make it a great choice in limited space gardens, and containers. Thin skinned fruits have a tasty mild sweet flavour and are best eaten when around 3 inches long. They are lightly spined, bitter-free, and are delicious in salads or use them to make great pickles!

Growing Instructions

Start indoors 3-4 weeks before transplanting into warm soil. Sow 2cm deep in each pot, using bottom heat. Transplant when plants develop their third true leaf, full sun. Space plants 23cm apart in row and 90cm apart. Ideal well drained, warm soil with a pH of 6.0-6.8. Keep plants well picked for better production. Water the soil only, keeping the leaves as dry as possible as they can be susceptible to powdery mildew.
