Cucumis sativus
A new variety bred to thrive under organic conditions. Great for pickling, and if they get oversized, they make a great slicer! Bitterness does not seem to be much of a factor when it comes to this variety. Bred by John Navazio of Johnny's seeds, cool customer cukes are perfect for the pickle jar or fresh off the vine - pick small or let them grow to slicer-size. Up north we stagger into two plantings so we get an early peak in July, followed by late, bountiful harvests in September.

Growing Instructions
Start indoors 3-4 weeks before transplanting into warm soil. Sow 2cm deep in each pot, using bottom heat. Transplant when plants develop their third true leaf, full sun. Space plants 23cm apart in row and 90cm apart. Ideal well drained, warm soil with a pH of 6.0-6.8. Keep plants well picked for better production. Water the soil only, keeping the leaves as dry as possible as they can be susceptible to powdery mildew.
