Sourced from a mix of common purple coneflower and green twister, our echinacea mix has proved to produce huge, tall and gorgeous blooms! Can be used in cut flower bouquets, but equally lovely and long-lived blooms in the flower garden which transform into big gorgeous seed heads as they feed pollinators, and in the fall and winter local birds find the seeds to be a fantastic food source! What is not to love, this easy-to-grow from seed perennial deserves a place in any garden or farm.
Direct seed early March or early Fall, 5mm deep. If planted early enough, can bloom in its first year. Can also start indoors mid-Feb. to late March in darkness; move to bright light when sprouts appear. Plant 30-38cm apart. 10-21 days to germination.
