Icelandic poppies provide very early colour in the garden, flowering along with tulips and daffodils! Well loved at the farmers market for their beautiful short lived papery blooms, a favourite of many.... So old fashioned and romantic! First year flowering if started early winter. If planted in fall or winter on the coast you will be surprised by how early the blooms come! Happy to self seed and live for years in a spot they enjoy.

Growing instructions
Direct sow outdoors in late fall or early spring. Sow on the surface of the soil in full sun or partial shade. Germination: 20-30 days. Thin to 15cm apart.
