Fast growing light green leaves with tender white stems. Can be harvested as a cut and come again crop or allowed to grow to full size, 2' across. Excellent addition to salad mix. Use fresh or lightly cooked. Mild refreshing flavour. 1800's Japanese Heirloom.

Growing instructions

Direct sow in early spring, or throughout growing season for baby leaves. Seed in rows and harvest 2-5cm from the ground to allow greens to grow back. Plant in full sun or part shade, germinating in 5-10 days. Sow 3-4 seeds in each spot, and thin to strongest plant. Ideal soil ph of 6.0-6.5.
