An award-winning, high-yielding soybean with medium-sized matte-yellow beans. Maple Glen was developed in the 1980's for commercial production in Ontario's eastern climate at Canada's Plant Research Centre, Agriculture & AgriFood Canada. It was described as a "game-changing short season soybean" by Ontario Grain Farmer Magazine, and winner of Farm Credit Canada's 2015 "Seed of the Year" competition.
Tight pods grow on sturdy, compact plants approx 24" tall - no support needed. Harvest early for fresh edamame eating or allow to dry on the plant longer for cooking or making soy milk, tofu, tempeh, or miso! Grow your own protein! (43% protein, 20% oil).
