Amplissimo Viktoria Ukrainskaya Soup

Pisum sativum

Known as the Chickpea of the North, this Ukrainian heirloom soup pea has exceptional flavour and texture, and really does taste a lot like chickpeas! Often used in place of chickpeas in northern climates, but with infinitely higher yield. Easy to grow and prolific, grows to 5ft; pods contain 5-6 large round beige peas each. Seed 2.5cm (1”) deep, 2-7cm (1-3”) apart in their row. 7-14 days to germinate, 70 days to maturity.
