Allium Sativum Ophioscorodon

Type: Hardneck

Group: Creole

When to Plant: 4 to 6 weeks before soil freezes. In warmer regions, planting ranges from late September/early October until the last week of November.

Season: Mid-Season

Description: Known as Pink Garlic, Rose de Lautrec is named after a type of Creole garlic grown in a small region of France. There are actually 4 cultivars that are Creole grown in that region. We are not certain which of those four cultivars we grow.

Grow: They don't produce the largest bulbs, but they are amazing keepers. Our first trial year, they stayed perfectly firm on our hardneck bind for an entire year after harvest.

Flavour: Garlic connoisseurs suggest that pink garlic has a warm, subtle and sweet flavour profile that hints of horseradish.

Use: The small cloves and warm flavour profile make them perfect for adding to dips and fresh salad dressings.

Number of cloves/bulb: 8-10

Approx. Size Range: Medium to Large (1.5"-2")

Purchase 10 bulbs for best shipping rate per bulb! Don't forget if it's more than you need, seed garlic can also be enjoyed as culinary eating garlic
