Specialty purple mustard green from Japan with radiant, deeply serrated leaves and a robust and peppery flavour. Add to your favourite salad mix or sauté for a milder flavour. Slow to bolt and can be sown multiple times from early spring to late fall for season long spicy greens. 21 days to baby leaf, 38 days to maturity.

Growing instructions

Direct sow in early spring, or throughout growing season for baby leaves. Seed in rows and harvest 2-5cm from the ground to allow greens to grow back. Plant in full sun or part shade, germinating in 5-10 days. Sow 3-4 seeds in each spot, and thin to strongest plant. Ideal soil ph of 6.0-6.5.
