Sunfire

Lactuca sativa

Bred specially for salad mixes, Sunfire has a narrow, branching oak-leaf shape and interesting colour pattern. Leaves are green in the center with red and green veining underneath a reddish brown surface blush. Leaves are dense providing good weight, texture, and shelf life. Good for all seasons.

Growing Instructions: Start in trays, seeding 5mm deep. Transplant 30-45cm apart for heads, closer for looseleaf, or direct-seed more densely in rows for baby greens. Sow April through August. stagger plantings for a continuous supply of lettuce. 7-15 days to germination.
