An heirloom variety dating back to 1830, it is one of the oldest lettuce varieties still being grown. This mini butter lettuce is ideal for container growing or in a small garden space and has a wonderful flavour. 35 days to baby leaf, 50 days to maturity.

Growing Instructions: Start in trays, seeding 5mm deep. Transplant 30-45cm apart for heads, closer for looseleaf, or direct-seed more densely in rows for baby greens. Sow April through August. stagger plantings for a continuous supply of lettuce. 7-15 days to germination.
