This popular variety of fava bean is an English heirloom and can grow up to 5 feet tall and requires trellising. It offers large tasty pods that can be eaten fresh or dried. In coastal areas, Windsor fava can be planted in the fall or mid winter to avoid aphid damage. Easy to shell.

Growing instructions:

Plant 1-2" deep, 2-4" spacing in rows 18" apart when soil is between 5-20 degrees C. Spring plantings are common, however in coastal areas with milder winter, they can be planted earlier (October to February) to avoid aphid damage.
